SUBMISSION!

Hello! I hope everyone is having a Great and Productive morning! I’m going to be talking about submission to day and not the Ric Flair kind where he makes his opponent submit because of the figure four. I am going to be talking about the order of submission within the home. It’s tense already so I’m going to start off with a Joke but reality! There was a female (American) reporter who visited Kuwait and was outraged! She noticed that the women walked at least four steps behind their husbands. With great agitation she told the woman that this was taking submission too far. Several years later the same reporter returned to Kuwait and found the men walking 4 steps behind the women. The reporter was thrilled. She then talked to a Kuwait woman and expressed how happy she was to see things had finally shifted and now the Husbands were being submissive to the Wives and following their lead. She told the Kuwait woman now progress would really be made for women’s rights. “What caused the change,” she asked! “Land mines,” was the reply! You know we laugh at this joke but this really happened! Now to the main point many Christian men sense that their wives have one thing they need to do and that is to submit. In Ephesians 5 21-33 the Apostle Paul presents a prelude to a woman’s submission to her husband. The first thing is notice it’s a dual submission. Submission is found in the passage as a wife to a husband, a husband’s identification with Christ’s sacrifice, a child’s obedience to his parents, and an employee obeying the employer read Chapter 6 as well. Ephesians Chapter 5 verses 21-28 says “21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.22 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the Head of the Church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the Church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the Church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to Love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.” We all know Men Love themselves! If you don’t think so look at one today and tell him he is ugly! Watch the response you get! Ha! Ha! The final point is Paul said it best in these verses. I believe as Dino Pedrone said one time. A happy family is one that knows God’s order and sacrificially submits to each other out of reverence for Christ. This type of submission produces a sense of dependence on God that is healthy and fulfilling. This is true Biblical submission. So the question for you, Do you have order in your home? If not why, I personally have never made a mistake following scripture you will not either! Love you guys! Jason

Ask, Seek, and Knock!

Hi! Everyone I am going to talk about a couple of things this morning when it comes to Street Evangelism. If you have a Passion to go outside the Church walls and hit the streets there are 3 important things to remember! The 1st is Pray for protection and ask God to cover you and use you for his Glory. The 2nd is you have got to be BOLD which means very courageous and over step some boundaries and stick your chest out. The 3rd thing is always Ask, Seek, and Knock. Don’t go from door to door that does not work anymore. The knocking I’m talking about is if you come to a place where you are stuck ask Jesus to open the door and provide a way he will. Always ask him for advice and seek his will not your own. That is my opinion on 3 things we do every time we hit the streets for JESUS! Now for my blog posting today I will be talking about Asking, Seeking, and Knocking! I think Pastor Bud McCord said it best when he broke this down n a book. It went a little something like this! The constant asking, seeking, and knocking, Jesus tells us to do, reveals something very important about us. When we constantly ask, seek, and knock, we reveal that we see the Father as the One who can supply our needs, reveal our path, and open closed doors. Asking, seeking and knocking reveals our true opinion of God. NOW FOR THE BACON! The absence of asking, seeking, and knocking is a sure sign I do not see God as the solution. It is a sign I am off looking for solutions elsewhere. When we have come to a place where we have no answers, no direction, and no door opening power, we should ask ourselves a serious question- “Have I stopped asking, seeking, and knocking as Jesus said I should?” In Matthew Chapter 7 verse 7-8 (NIV) It says “Ask and it will be given to you: seek, and you will find: knock and it will be opened to you. "For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” Sometimes we look at a situation and we cannot begin to find answers, paths or power. That does not mean God has run out of answers, directions, or power. We may have decided He has no more interest in our situation, but Jesus said to ask, seek, and knock. Some good questions to ask in difficult times are: What does God make of this? What can God make of this? The important thing is not what we make of things but what God makes of things. Here is a great example of this. When Jesus fed a HUGE crowd with 5 loaves and 2 fish by the way a little boy had them. His disciples did not even bother to ask what God could make of them. Jesus said a prayer and the rest is history. If you get one thing out of my blog post today let it be this next part! Never, never, never stop asking, seeking, and knocking. To stop is to say God cannot make something of what we face. HE CAN! HE WILL! Just ASK! I know it was along post but I felt it needed to be shared. Everyone have a Great day at work and I pray what ever comes your way today you will Ask, Seek, and Knock!

The Real WOMAN!

Hi! I hope everyone is having a great morning. I’m going to be blogging about a subject that was laid on my heart during my morning devotion. What is a “Real Woman”? Before I answer this question let me ask the men some questions. Are you following Jesus Christ? Are you being the leader of your home? Do you love your wife as Christ loves the Church? If not you don’t deserve the Proverbs 31 Woman. Hold on and strap yourself in tight here we go! First let me say to the Lady that reads this I am not judging you I am simply sharing what I have learned out of Scripture. “Proverbs 31” Some people talk about the Proverbs 31 woman as the ideal woman. That is so untrue the woman in Proverbs 31 10-31 is the “Real Woman”. She is the woman God intends all women to be. Not necessarily fitting the specific description, but certainly the general description. I read a devotional one time and Pastor Guy Melton used that same sentence. Now let’s talk about what our society calls this. Society would call this counter-cultural. Our Society has told Woman they need to be stronger than men the term “Feminist”. A Feminist thinks that her worth is found in a career and competing with men drives her to do the things she does. Most of the time she does not want to do these things. Sound familiar a lot of Men do this also and if you continue to be a Passive man your family will fall. It’s time for the Men in this Nation to stand up and be Men. Women out there if your husband is not leading the way you need to have a one on one conversation with him today. Tell him how you feel he can handle it! Women please listen and read for yourselves in Proverbs 31 10-31 this woman described is a nurturing mother, wife and woman of DIGNITY! This did not mean she didn’t have outside interest. She did in Verses 16-18 it shows she was a successful business woman. To be Godly women or mom does not mean you check your business sense and brains at the door. Later on as I read in this Chapter it says she was fulfilled and happy. She was committed to her family, husband and children. Because of her commitment they honored her and respected her. There are lots of rewards for being a Loving, Caring woman. This life is too short to be unhappy all the time. Let me first say if your husband is not being the leader in the home he has his own issues. You may need to have a talk tonight! For the single mom out there and I know they are a lot of you. I know its tough. My mom was a single mom as well. I don’t know you but I want you to know I Love You and your kids will honor you for doing the best you can do! You can do it! You can be successful! You will make it even when you fill your about to lose it! For all you Single Fathers out there you rock and keep leading your children it will pay off! Now for my venting session! To all you “DEADBEAT DAD'S” yes I said dad's anyone can be a dad but it takes a special person to be a FATHER! You need to wake up if you have kids and are not there and you have walked out on them they will not forget that! They are your responsibility and you are nothing but a BOY! You are pathetic and make me sick. You think its all about you. Newsflash it’s not if you have children take care of them. Spend time with them they will not forget the time you spend with them! Be a Man for a change The Job and Money you have will fade. The time you spend with your kids will pass on from generation to generation. To all the Men and Women out there who read this I hope it challenges you! Have an Awesome Day.

Looking Forward!

Good morning world! I hope everyone’s day has started off great! I was in quiet time this morning and the issue of looking back or looking ahead came up. Do you ever catch yourself holding on to the past? Do you tend to look behind you more than in front of you? As Christians we all are struggling or have struggled with the things we have done in our past! I was reading in the book of Philippians Chapter 3 verses 12-14. In this text Paul is talking about “Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead”. Folks we have to get over our past. It’s kind of like if you focus on what’s behind you while you are driving you will not see what’s coming in front of you and you will wreck. If there is one person I know that has struggled with getting over there past I have. The one thing that has helped me build a bridge and get over it is an everyday walk with Jesus Christ! You see our past can control who we are in the present if we let it. Satan uses our past as a tool to keep us unfocused. You know as well as I do if you aren’t focused you can’t live life to the full. Remember this, as painful as your past may be Jesus went to the cross for your past sins. He has already covered your PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE sins. He has forgotten about our past and wants to use us now to advance his Kingdom. Another thing that has helped me is reading the Bible. As I look in the Old and New Testament I see Jesus using some messed up people who had a past far more badly than ours could have ever been! Jesus uses messed up people to reach the lost. I know he is using me. Are you willing to let some things that are holding you back go this morning? Let go what is already done and focus on what isn’t! This Nation needs Jesus and if we each do our part WE CAN CHANGE AMERICA! I BELIEVE THAT DO YOU?
